Chiang Mai is the center of all handicrafts and trades of Thailand. Home decoration, garden supplies and other products can be found in the Chiang Mai area. LHSTC not only focuses on this area of Thailand but also, on the request of our clients, can do a research on your requirements on products of your choice in other parts of Thailand.
Lanna Trading is able to provide a complete package of export services. LHSTC will do investigations on a product you require for competitive quality and price. All our clients will be informed free of charge when interesting offers are on the market and when we think these products will fit in our clients trade.
LHSTC will even take care of the shipping for you. We will be there when the goods are collected from the supplier and up until they are packed in a container. Your products will be shipped by recognized handlers only. LHSTC knows several agents in Chiang Mai area working throughout Thailand and all over the world. LHSTC will provide you with all the documents needed, including insurance, if required, to address client needs.
How it works:
Buying products (CLICK HERE)
The easiest way to contact LHSTC is by e-mail, add an item with the description of the product you are looking for specifying the size, color and, if possible, pictures. We also need to know which harbor/airport you want to transport your goods to, whether you will pick them up yourself or whether you want LHSTC to arrange transport to your address. After we have received your request, we will send you an offer, including transportation costs and all the paperwork. You will also receive LHSTC terms of delivery. If you agree with the offer, LHSTC will order all your goods and arrange for transport to the harbor/airport you have specified or, if you wish, to you address.
If you pick up the goods from the harbor yourself, be aware that it can only stay there without an extra charge for approximately 3 days.
Exporting/importing products
If all the goods you have ordered are completed and checked by LHSTC, the transport company will pick them up and pack them in crates from 1 sqm and transport them in a 20 or 40 ft. container (LHSTC will supervise the packing). Goods packed in sqm will be classified as LCL (loose container load) or FCL (full container load).
It is always cheaper to buy a FCL once than 10 sqm three times a year. It will increase transportation costs by about a third. You have to pay extra for the export of Buddha images and teakwood out of Thailand. You may want to ask your country's tax authorities about import procedures to avoid unpleasant surprises.
Our fees
LHSTC charges 15% of all costs; buying, transportation and insurance when a FCL (full container) is ordered. For this LHSTC does the buying, controls the goods before and supervises the packing process. For LCL, we charge 15% of transportation and insurance costs. For goods prices vary depending on their number, how much time LHSTC spends on buying them and the assortment.
Insurance costs about 2.5% extra but you can insure yourself to cover the travel time between ports which can be better for you should you have a problem such as ship sinking, damage at the port beyond our and your control.

Conditions of Sale
Lanna House Services and Trading Company does not always display prices on its website because of the possibility of sudden price changes on products and shipping rates. However, as our customer, you will always receive an offer which you will have to confirm by e-mail.
Payment methods
We accept payment by money transfers net of charges to our bank account the details for which you can find in the invoice. We will soon start accepting online payments.
Goods will be prepared for shipping as soon as full payment has been confirmed.
Processing time depends on the order amount and/or whether you require a particular custom finish for the goods.
Delivery/shipping
The minimum volume is 1 cubic meter to 20ft & 40ft container (average transit time 4 to 8 weeks).
Insurance
We can arrange insurance on your behalf against damage or loss for Shipped Sea freight goods only. The charge is an additional 2.5% of the total purchase price from our sale price (Although insurance is optional, it is recommended).
Smaller items or those under 30 kg may be sent directly to your home address or local post office for collection by the local postal service in most countries, however, postal goods are only insured against loss. There is no insurance against damage. We will, however, take all precautions to pack your goods as securely as possible to prevent damage. An average postal time is two to three months by surface mail (SAL 3 weeks, AIR 1 week, UPS or DHL 2 to 5 days). If you require goods, please inform us directly how you want to receive them. The following offer will always be inclusive of transportation costs.
Taxes
The customer is responsible for the payment of any import taxes, duties and handling fees at the port of delivery of their choice. As a service to our clients, we are happy to provide a packing list to show the goods as either wooden, handicrafts, etc. If possible, we will provide you with an A form that shows that the goods are originally from Thailand.
This may assist you in clearing your goods tax free.
However this will depend on how your local customs offices classify the goods. Thus, the type of classification given to your goods before shipping may assist you in reducing any possible payable duty to a lower or zero rate (for example there is no duty payable on wooden ware imported to the USA).
Check with your local customs office for details on import taxes of the categories to determine the description that best suits you to minimize or null any possible taxes. Rates vary from country to country.
Collection arrangements from the seaport in your own country will be the responsibility of the customer or an agent that we can appoint for you.
The customer will be responsible for any import agent fees. We will arrange for the shipping company to supply you or your agent with the relevant documentation – Bill of Lading, estimated date of arrival, etc.
All items must be removed or delivery arrangements made to collect the goods normally within three working days from the date of arrival at most seaports unless special arrangements are made. Most port and customs houses may subject you to storage charges should your goods be left longer than the designated period.
Lanna House Services and Trading Company is waived from any additional charges at your port of entry and/or damages that may occur to any item(s) sent by post office or by Sea freight if uninsured.
Product availability
Should we not have a specific item, we will do as follows;
1. First we will look for a similar replaceable item of the same quality you asked for.
2. Inform you of this product and, after your agreement expressed by e-mail or fax, we will purchase it for you.
Exchange/return policy
Your satisfaction is of primary importance to us as Lanna House Services and Trading Company. Our conditions of refund are: If any fabric faults are in debt and the factory has sent a guarantee letter with the products, then the item(s) must be returned to our store in the same condition as received; we must be notified by fax or e-mail within three working days of receiving the goods. Items must be shipped back to Lanna House Services and Trading Company within one week after receiving the goods; the client is responsible for shipping charges, export and import taxes, duties and handling charges, to return these item(s) to Lanna House Services and Trading Company. We strongly encourage you to insure returning pieces while in transit as the buyer is responsible for any damages that may occur.
